William D. Linderwell, 82, of Guttenberg passed away at the Guttenberg Care Center on Oct. 12, 2021.

Family and friends may celebrate his life Sunday, Oct. 24, from 1-4 p.m. at the American Legion, 204 Franklin St., Manchester.

Bill was born Sept. 23, 1939, in Dundee. He married the love of his life, Sharon Bauman, Sept. 13, 1969. They just celebrated 52 years together.

His greatest loves were his family, deer hunting, fishing, cutting wood and playing cards.

He was employed at LeFebure in Cedar Rapids as a welder, and he served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; son, Jamie (Sherri); daughter Shelley Tharp; grandchildren, Randy Tharp, Sally Jones, Mark Fite, Daniel Kelchen and Austin (Mel) Kelchen; great-grandchildren, Kaylie Kelchen, Kirra and Kyler Caples.
