UMGC awards nearly $700K in grants

The Upper Mississippi Gaming Corporation (UMGC) held its annual grant awards ceremony in Marquette on Oct. 25. Grants so far this year have totaled $692,109.58, far exceeding last year’s amount of $401,410.82, according to UMGC Executive Director Sindee Gohde.

 

“UMGC is extremely pleased with the additional $290,698.76 we had in revenue, and were able to grant that out to area non-profits for projects that enhance the welfare and good of Clayton County,” said Gohde. “We are hoping to see a year that goes over $800,000 if we have no shut downs again due to Covid.”
