Peoples State Bank in Guttenberg has recently added two new members to their already experienced, friendly staff.

Michele Stram was promoted as branch manager in September and Tammy Kinley as a loan officer in May. The two women have been employed with Peoples State Bank in Prairie du Chien, Wis., for several years.

"We have both worked for Peoples State Bank, but are now in new positions in Guttenberg," they explained.

Stram lives in Prairie du Chien with her husband, Gary. The couple has four grown children and eight grandchildren. "I was a Personal Banking Representative with Peoples State Bank and have been in the banking industry for 28 years," commented Stram. "I started out part-time working 'Mommy hours' – hours that worked out well for a busy mother."

Kinley resides in McGregor with her husband, Jeff. The Kinleys have three adult daughters, Erin, Emily and Ellie. She previously worked as a BSA Analyst/accounts reviewer for Peoples State Bank branch location in Prairie du Chien. "I enjoy spending time with family and friends and hiking and walking in the Driftless Area," said Kinley.

Stram also enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking, biking, hiking, and swimming. "My husband and I have a boat and we love being on the river," said Stram. "We also enjoy traveling, but haven't been anywhere for a while due to COVID-19."

Both women worked their way up the ladder and appreciate the bank's willingness to train and promote. "Peoples State Bank is a wonderful place to work," they noted. "There are numerous opportunities for career advancement for anyone who is willing to work hard."

Kinley, who enjoyed a seven-minute commute, and Stram, a mere five minutes, were somewhat concerned about the extended drive. "The commute was our only drawback," they shared. "When our schedules allow we ride together. We both enjoy the beautiful scenery and the opportunity to gear up for the day and wind down during our evening drive home."

The two women appreciate the community's warm welcome. "Guttenberg has been very welcoming, and the people who work here in the bank have been a great support," they noted. "This bank and Peoples State Banks in general have a history of long-term employees. It feels like a community when you work here. They take pride in customer service, and it is nice to be a part of that team."

You are never too young, or too old to take on a new challenge. "We both enjoy what we are doing and enjoy coming to work each day even though it can sometimes be a challenge," they shared. "We love meeting new people and helping them with all their banking needs. Peoples State Bank is a wonderful place to work."
