Voters chose winners of city, school contests

Unofficial results of the Nov. 2 general election have been released by the office of the Clayton County Commissioner of Elections. Following is a summary of winners in The Press readership area.
SCHOOL ELECTIONS
Clayton Ridge School had six candidates seeking three seats. Winners and their vote totals were: Jason Reimer - 489, Michael Finnegan - 409, and Jessica Bittner - 373.
In the Edgewood-Colesburg School District, three candidates running unopposed were elected: Matt Elliot - 188, Brad Bockenstedt - 183 and Daniel Venteicher - 204. Voters defeated a proposed $12,050,000 bond issue to fund remodelling, repair and improvement projects, with 143 against and 108 in favor.
MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
Guttenberg
Mayor: Fred Schaub, who ran unopposed, was eleected with 385 votes.
Council: The top three vote-getters elected from a field of five were: Michelle Geuder - 323, Stephan Bahls - 278 and Mandy Ludovissy - 271.
Hospital Trustee: Two candidates for two vacancies were elected: Susan Osterhaus - 373 and Stephanie Radabaugh - 366.
Garnavillo
No one filed for the three vacancies on the city council. The top three write-ins were Mike Schmelzer - 30, Luke Clefisch - 17, and Roger Balk - 15.
Clayton
No one filed for the mayor's position; David Hart had the most write-in votes with 17. Elected to five seats on the city council were: Toni Schultz - 25, Kaitlyn Kuehl-Berns - 17, Thomas Brandel - 17, Scott Kinkead - 29, and Cathy Staake - 23.
Garber
Nioka Schroeder, running unopposed for mayor, had 11 votes. The five candidates for five vacancies on the city council elected were: R. Lyle Schroeder - 12, Leroy R. Dugan - 12, Ed Vanlennep - 12, , Ronnie E. Willie -13 and Alicia Vanlennep 12.
Elkport
No candidates filed for the mayor's seat or for three open seats on the city council. Receiving the most write-ins for mayor was Roger Bolsinger with 4. The top three write-ins for council were Dianne Bolsinger - 4, Jeff Hansel - 4 and Susan Steve - 4.
Osterdock
No candidates filed for the mayor's seat or for five open seats on the city council. Top vote-getters by write-in were: Mayor, Brad Miller - 6; council, Bob Petsche - 6, Clifford Judkins - 5, Dennis Sargent - 5, Joe Meisner - 5 and Elmer Radabaugh - 4.
North Buena Vista
No one filed for the mayor's position. Receiving the most write-in votes was Alan Breitbach with 10. There were five candidates for five seats on the city council. Their vote tallies were: Robert Ludovissy - 26, Ken Ludovissy - 21, Diane Ludovissy - 31, James Gordon - 28 and Pam Breitbach - 34.
