Evelyn M. “Whiz” Redman, 86, of Patch Grove, passed away on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Fennimore. 

She was born on Aug. 17, 1935, in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of James and Clara (Taylor) Quick. She married Phil Redman on Jan. 26, 1955, at the United Methodist Church in Patch Grove. She worked many years in the Prairie du Chien area. Evelyn loved to dance, ride horses, and enjoyed all animals. She was a great cook. She took great pride in being the President of the Brodtville School Restoration Project. Most of all, she loved her family. 

Evelyn is survived by her husband of 66 years, Phil; her children: Terri (Mike) Wood, Tim (Terri Jo), Mick (Sue), Dixie Toberman, and Shawn (Shelly Slama); 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Leland and infant James Quick; and her sister, Rosemary Thornton.

Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel, Prairie du Chien, with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Interment will be in the Union Nagle Cemetery, Patch Grove. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. and also one hour prior to services on Friday.
