Roxanna M. Moravits, 69, of Eastman, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, at her home surrounded by family. 

Roxanna was born on Aug. 20, 1952, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Charles “Charley” and Lucille (Coleman) Kane. Roxanna was married on Dec. 19, 1970, to LaVern M. Moravits and together they had two daughters, Michelle and Tonya. Roxanna ran an in-home day care for seven years while their girls were growing up. After that, she worked as a waitress for seven years at Coaches Family Restaurant. From there, she spent 15 years working as a machine operator at 3M. She enjoyed spending time riding horses on their farm and spending evenings around the campfire surrounded by family. Roxanna was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. She and LaVern made it a point to take their kids and grandkids to a Brewers game every year from the time they were young.

Roxanna is survived by her devoted husband, LaVern of Eastman; loving daughter, Michelle (Brandon) Routt of Eastman; brother, Chuck (Dorothy) Kane of Dubuque, Iowa; sister, Theresa “Buffy” Meyer of Omaha, Neb.; and grandkids, Lucas, Austin, Megan (Jacob), Shae, Lexi, Gabrialle and Briar.

Roxanna is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Tonya Moravits-Hill; parents, Charles “Charley” and Lucille (Coleman) Kane; sister, Candy Sprosty; brother, David Kane; and brother-in-law, Gary Sprosty. 

A visitation was held on Saturday, Nov. 27, at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien, with burial in the National Cemetery, Eastman. The Garrity Funeral Home, of Prairie du Chien, assisted the family.
