Larry D. Dettbarn

Larry Dean Dettbarn, 77, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, at Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis., surrounded by his loving family.
Larry was a kind, loving father, husband, and friend, and will be deeply missed. He was known for his sense of humor and loved to play pranks on everyone, and would spend hours in his garage doing his woodworking projects.
Visitation was Monday, Dec. 20, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.
Larry was born on Oct. 12, 1944, to Elmer and Mabel (Cole) Dettbarn in Worthington, where he grew up one of five siblings. In April of 1962, Larry joined the United States Army where he served as a SP4-E4; he received a medal for Good Conduct, as well as a marksman medal.
Left to honor and cherish his memories are his wife, Jean; children, Tim (Lori) Dettbarn, Danny Dettbarn, Kathi (Jason) Williamson; Jay (Deanna) Amundson, Jarred (Nicole) Amundson, and Julie Amundson; grandchildren, Kaylee and TJ Dettbarn, Sasha and Shaida Arbabha, Joseph Hutchison, Will and Makayla Williamson; two great-grandchildren, Sahar Arbabha and Harper Hammond; four siblings, Carl (Shirley) Dettbarn, Bob (Wanda Lacy) Dettbarn, Ken (Gwen) Dettbarn, and Darlene Everett.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
