Top performance marks for Clayton Ridge School
The Clayton Ridge School District recently received its Iowa School Performance Profile ratings from the Iowa Department of Education. Ratings are based on accountability measures for the 2020-2021 school year.
Clayton Ridge Elementary received a High Performing rating. The Middle School, High School and Iowa Virtual Academy received Commendable ratings.
"The Elementary remains a High Performing School and the High School remains a Commendable School, both for the second year in a row," notes Superintendent Shane Wahls. "The Middle School and Iowa Virtual Academy both moved from Acceptable to Commendable ratings."
Ratings take into account such measures as achievement, proficiency and growth in language arts and math, graduation rates and post-secondary readiness. The rating categories include Exceptional, High Performing, Commendable, Acceptable, Needs Improvement, And Priority. The Department of Education uses the ratings to identify schools that need the most help to improve student learning.
