On Saturday, Jan. 29, the Prairie du Chien wrestlers traveled to Lodi for a dual team round robin tournament. The tournament was very competitive, with two D1 teams, and three ranked D2 teams. 

In the opening round, PDC matched up with De Pere. Led by falls from Jeremiah Avery, Maddox Cejka, Mason Baumgartner, and Kurt Wall, the Hawks would prevail with a 45-17 victory. 

In round two, the Hawks would toe the line with #6 ranked D2 Lodi. PDC would get falls from Cole Halverson, Brogan Brewer, Blake Thiry and a technical fall from Luke Kramer. The Hawks would come up just short, falling by a 35-33 score. 

In round three, PDC would battle West Salem/Bangor and get falls from Brogan Brewer, Blake Thiry, Ty Wagner, Ryder Koenig, Rhett Koenig, Kurt Wall, and Luke Kramer, the Hawks would earn a 49-25 win. 

In round four, the Hawks would tussle with Kenosha Indian Trail. Falls would come from Cole Halverson, Rhett Koenig, Luke Kramer, and Maddox Cejka as the Hawks cruised to a 45-21 win. 

In round five, PDC would wrestle #7 ranked D2 Evansville. Led by falls from Ty Wagner, Luke Kramer, and Maddox Cejka the Hawks would put themselves in position for a win as they were down by one point going into the final match. Cole Halverson would seal the deal with a pin of his own to give the Hawks a 42-37 win. 

The Hawks would finish the day with a 4-1 record, good for second place. Luke Kramer and Maddox Cejka were undefeated on the day.

Up next for the Hawks will be the SWC/SWAL Clash, hosted by PDC in the Fieldhouse on Saturday. Wrestling starts at 9 a.m.
