Dale L. Toberman, 74, of Lisle, Ill., passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, at Alden Estates in Naperville, Ill. 

He was born in Savanna, Ill., on Sept. 26, 1947, the son of Lawrence and Rachel (Mattie) Toberman. He attended Lisle High School where he graduated in the class of 1967. He furthered his education in the Chicago area to become a tool and die maker. He then served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, he went to work for Arrow Gear Company in Downers Grove, Ill., until retirement. Outside of work, Dale enjoyed building model train sets and rockets. 

He is survived by his sister, Lynda Crafton; her sons, E.J. (Danielle) and Jason (Gerri); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Nicholas, Thea, Deziree, Tyson, and Jerimiah Crafton; and many other cousins and family members. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Ennis Crafton. 

Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 4, at 11 a.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Maria Kim officiating, with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Military honors will be accorded graveside by the Prairie du Chien Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to a charity of your choice.
