Diane M. Ronnfeldt, 68, of Steuben, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. 

She was born on Nov. 29, 1953, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd and Helen (Deviney) Klemz. She graduated high school in 1973 from East High in Waterloo. Diane married James Ronnfeldt on March 11, 2000, at the Villa Louis in Prairie du Chien. She belonged to the Falling Rock Walleye Club and the Audubon Society. Diane loved to play pool, fish, and watch her animals on the deck at her dream house on the ridge. She had a passion for the outdoors. Diane was an avid Cubs fan. She was a 10-year breast cancer survivor and was involved in activities related to breast cancer.  

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, James; her children, Brian and Amee Barrett; her brothers, Tim, Tom, Bruce, and Anthony Klemz; her sisters, Elizabeth Gott and Jacqueline Baker; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Gerry.

According to Diane’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services held at this time. A Celebration of Diane’s Life is being planned for a later date. 

The Garrity Funeral Home, of Prairie du Chien, is assisting the family.
