Phyllis L. Kratochvill Enke, 92, of Prairie du Chien, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, at Prairie Maison. 

She was born in Prairie du Chien on March 1, 1930, the daughter of Robert and Florence (Webster) Cullen. She went to school in Boscobel, where she enjoyed being a majorette in the school band. Phyllis married Frank Kratochvill on Feb 17, 1947. Together, they raised their family in the Prairie du Chien area and enjoyed camping. She worked at Wyalusing Academy in Prairie du Chien for several years. Frank preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 2002. She then married Charles Enke in 2006 and they enjoyed their time together, traveling and making trips to Branson. Charles preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 2018. Phyllis loved her children and grandchildren; her family was her life. She also enjoyed music, especially Danny O’Donnell. 

She is survived by her children Frankie Kratochvill Jr., Kay Russell, Connie (Leland) Hutchison, and Patricia (Steve) Schauf; 15 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Kathy Skaar, and seven sisters. 

Funeral services will be Monday, March 21, at 11 a.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
