Shirley A. Faulkner, 87, of Boscobel, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Boscobel Care and Rehab.

She was born Jan. 21, 1935, in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of Jack and Estella (Huard) Ostrander. She married Lester Faulkner on Oct. 1, 1955, in Prairie du Chien. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2018. Shirley loved dancing/ Sometimes her father was in a band and he would take the family, other times she and her sister would sneak off to go dancing. It was at a dance at the Checkerboard where she met Lester, her husband-to-be. They were married in a double wedding with her brother and his wife. Together, Shirley and Lester raised three children. Shirley was devoted to her family, and super proud to be a grandma. She enjoyed playing cards and her trips to casinos. She collected dolls and stuffed animals, talking to and dressing them. 

She is survived by a son, Jerry Faulkner and wife (Valerie Wachuta) of Platteville; a grandson, Jerrison Faulkner and girlfriend (Breezy Peckham) both of Platteville; one sister; Linda (Fritz) Bradley of Prairie du Chien; a sister-in-law, Carol Ostrander of Manchester, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter; Debbie Johnson; a son, Jeff Faulkner; siblings, Pal Ostrander, Mike and Ivy Ostrander, Bob Ostrander, and Don and Zola Becwar.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 12at 11 a.m. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel, Pastor Mary Anne Floerke officiating, with burial in the Boscobel Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel.
