Ila Jean Weyant, 97, of Guttenberg, died Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at River Living Center in Guttenberg. 

Funeral services were Friday, April 22, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, conducted by Deacon James Pfaffly. Visitation was before services at the funeral home.

Interment was at Guttenberg City Cemetery, Guttenberg.

Ila was born on Nov. 4, 1924, to Frank and Maggie (Noack) Moser in rural Osterdock. She was baptized in 1966 at the Methodist Church in Guttenberg.

Ila attend the local country school until she reached the eighth grade. When she was just 18 years old she met a man who would become the love of her life, Russell Weyant. They were married on Feb. 12, 1942, and to this union they were blessed with six beautiful children.

Ila and Russell lived a great life together with their children; while he worked she stayed home to be with her children and raised them to be the fine ladies and men that they are today. She would be found in her spare time later in life playing dice with her family and friends, doing jumbo word searches, or watching her favorite baseball team, the Cubs, play their hearts out. She was so ecstatic when they won their more recent world series.

She leaves behind her favorite dice players - her children, Barb Herman, Owen “Pete” Weyant, Judy Weyant, Tom Weyant, Lori (Raymond) Horstman; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie Hefel, and Ivanelle Bolsinger, along with many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Ila was preceded in death by her parents, husband; granddaughter, Courtney Weyant Eglseder; son-in-law, Robert Herman; daughter and son-in-law, Jane (Greg) Hefel; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Weyant, and five brothers and four sisters.
