Jeffrey L. Corlett, 58, of McGregor, died Aug. 8, 2021.

He was born in McGregor on May 31, 1963, and graduated from Mar-Mac High School. He held various jobs working tirelessly—most recently as an electrician with UFP Industries in Prairie du Chien, Wis., for seven years. He had the kindest heart and greatly enjoyed helping friends and family, and spending time with his beloved dogs, Gunner and Floyd. He was well-known by all as an extraordinary handyman, and simply loved to generously help anyone—would do so anytime, anywhere—and without accepting any form of compensation other than a “thank you.”

Jeff is survived by his mother, Connie Corlett of McGregor; brother, John A. and wife Cindy (Mason) Corlett of Parker, Colo.; sister, Jolene and husband Randy Lucas of Lake Mills, Wis.; sister, Jennifer Corlett and spouse Jenny Weltzin of Hayward, Wis.; stepdaughter, Kirie Friedrichs; and five nieces and nephews, Hannah and Dylan Lucas, Megan Corlett, Molly Corlett (entered eternal rest 2/17/22) and David Corlett.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Corlett Jr.; and sister, Judy Corlett.

Please join the family in honoring Jeff on Saturday, June 18, at McGregor Backwoods, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Lunch is at 1 p.m., and a memorial address will be at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mel Wild, and sharing of memories to follow. Then, the gathering will continue at Jade’s River Queen, with live music featuring Mama’s Worry Band at 6:30 p.m.
