Stocker named to Class 2A all-district first team
MFL MarMac senior Kaden Stocker was selected to the first team of the Class 2A Northeast District by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association.
Stocker played in 30 games this season, earning a .417 batting average and .546 on-base percentage, both third highest in the Upper Iowa Conference. His 51 total bases were fourth most. Stocker’s stat line included team highs in hits, with 35, and walks, at 24. Of his hits, 14 were doubles and one was a triple. Additionally, Stocker tallied a team leading 31 runs and tied for first with 21 RBIs. His 25 stolen bases were the most among all Upper Iowa players.
Stocker also led the MFL MarMac pitching staff, appearing in 12 games and starting 11, which was tops in the conference and third most in Class 2A. Thirty-eight innings pitched placed him third in that category in the UIC. The senior finished the season with a 5-5 record and 3.79 ERA, while holding opponents to a .256 batting average. He totaled 55 strikeouts.
