Earl Glen Duha October 17, 1934 ~ September 4, 2022

Earl Duha, 87, was raised on the family farm with the rural ethics of faith in God and hard work. 

Earl was a devoted son to Helen (Zlabek) and Ed Duha and devoted brother to Irvine, Gladys, Dorthy, Lester, LaVerne and Dale. He treasured his family but was especially affected by his sister Gladys who courageously lived with the ravages of polio. Her motto of "nothing is impossible ... the impossible just takes a little longer" guided Earl throughout life. Gladys was Earls' uncanonized saint. Earl, Gladys, and Dale turned the family farm into a show piece, raising the best of mixed breed hogs and Hereford cattle. The beauty of their landscape and Christmas displays brought joy to many. Earl was committed to service to his country as demonstrated by his time in the National Guard and to his communities of Eastman and Seneca. Earl had a strong work ethic. After his farming days were over, he worked off the farm until he was 76. He enjoyed sharing his quick wit and knowledge with his co-workers. Earl had many interests. He was a talented photographer, taking senior pictures and wedding pictures for many. He also was an avid collector of model cars and enjoyed horticulture. Earl was the community historian, relaying pertinent dates and happenings to those he visited with. Earl was the last of his immediate family. 

He is survived by two nieces - Linda McCullough and Mary ( Leo) Rasmusson, and one nephew, Wayne Duha. 

To name Earl’s close friends would take pages. He treasured all who touched his life in any way. Earl is thankful to God for the one-time gift of life. We are grateful for the way Earl utilized the abilities God gave him. Earl's devotion to his faith was evident in his actions and in the religious belongings he kept around him. God Bless you Earl.
