Nancy Lea Reiser, 77, of Prairie du Chien, passed away Monday, Sept. 12, 2022 at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing at Fennimore. 

She was born May 20, 1945 to Clarence and Esther (La Valle) Reiser in Prairie du Chien. Nancy was the youngest of five children and lived her whole life in Prairie du Chien. She graduated from Prairie du Chien High School. Nancy worked various secretarial jobs until her beloved brother, Earl, faced physical difficulties and she became his caretaker for years. She loved the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, animals and watching horse racing.

Nancy is survived by her sister, Jeanne Hampton of Bloomington; brother, Don (Edith) Ritchie of Prairie du Chien; and ten nieces and nephews, Cynthia, Becky, Donna, Kelly, Tracy, John, Kim, Ross, Jim and Janet.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; oldest brother, Cy Harris and his wife, Etta; brother, Earl Reiser; brother-in-law, Neil Hampton and her dog, Boots.

Thank you to Divine Rehab nursing and therapy staff, as well as Dr. James, Dr. Miles, Angie and Rosemary. Also, thanks to the staff at Crossing Rivers Health Center; Heather, Kelly and Max at Blackhawk Apartments; and Krystal and Taylor at Inclusa. A heartfelt thanks to Jim McGrath at Crawford County Health and Human Services. A special thanks to St. Croix Hospice for adding to the great care Nancy received at Divine.

Per Nancy’s wishes, there will be no public visitation.  Private family services will be held at a later date. Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Prairie du Chien, helping the family with the arrangements.
