Ross William Kahrs passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022, surrounded by loving family. Ross was born on Nov. 26, 1961, in Prairie du Chien, Wis., to James Alfred Kahrs and Mary Leete Kahrs. He grew up in St. Olaf and Luana, and lived in Texas for over 30 years. He was a wonderful dad and pop pop, loved by his family and friends. Ross was a dedicated truck driver for many years, and loved NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers. He was a master of the grill and loved watching cooking shows.

 

Ross is survived by his daughters, Tiffiny (Allen) Harwell of Roanoke, Texas, and Elizabeth Kahrs (Steven Shockley) of Denton, Texas; two granddaughters, Anna and Kenzie Harwell; mother, Mary E. Kahrs of Arlington; four sisters, Kris Christen of Monona, Denise Palas of Arlington, Laurie Klingman (Bruce Lenth) of Monona and Julie Zuilek of Cary, Ill.; two brothers, Craig Kahrs of Las Vegas, Nev., and David (Mary) Kahrs of St. Olaf; and 17 nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, James Kahrs (1979); brother, Kenny Kahrs (2019); and brother-in-law, Ron Palas (2017).

 

Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, at Norway Lutheran Church, St. Olaf. Visitation will be at the church hall from 10 to 11 a.m.
