Three MFL MarMac volleyball players snag all-conference nods

Three MFL MarMac volleyball players have earned Upper Iowa all-conference honors. Grace Anderson was named to the second team, while Brooke Gillitzer and Kadence Pape received honorable mention nods.
Anderson, a senior middle hitter, played in 25 matches for the Bulldogs, racking up 62 kills on 177 attempts—both second most on the team. Her .232 kill efficiency was fifth best in the UIC.
Defensively, Anderson compiled a team leading 41 total blocks, which was also second most in the conference. Her 29 solo blocks were tops in the UIC.
From the service line, Anderson completed 78 of 114 attempts, for 68.4 percent efficiency. She was fourth among Bulldog players with 11 aces.
Gillitzer played in all 28 matches as an outside hitter and defensive specialist. The senior led all MFL MarMac players with 118 kills and 481 attempts. She was fourth on the team with eight blocks and second in kills, at 169. Gillitzer also took the most serve attempts, at 235, and made 168 of them for 71.5 percent efficiency. Her 39 aces were most on the team and sixth most in the conference.
Pape, a senior libero, compiled a team high 220 digs in 28 matches. She was also one of MFL MarMac’s most successful servers, going 161-200 for 80.5 percent efficiency. Her 18 aces were third most among Bulldog players.
