The MFL MarMac boys golf team added to its win total last week, coming out on top in a triangular with Waukon and Postville, then besting North Fayette Valley in a one-on-one match-up.

The Bulldogs turned in a team score of 162 in the April 11 triangular at Tri City Golf Course in Luana. Waukon came in at 167 and Postville 250.

Medalist Nick Krambeer led all golfers with a 38. Bulldog Ben Krambeer, along with teammate Sawyer Keehner and Waukon’s Reid Deeney and Evan O’Neill, all shot a 41, but Krambeer claimed runner-up honors.

Quinn McGeough tied for sixth with a 42, while Joe Grau tied for eighth with a 43. Jonah Wille shot a 45, which was good for 13th, and rounded out the team’s varsity score.

In an April 13 meet at Pleasant Valley Sports Club, MFL MarMac edged North Fayette Valley 162-175.

Grau secured the top medalist position with a 39. That was just ahead of runner-up Ben Krambeer, who, along with NFV’s Nick Koch, shot a 40.

Nick Krambeer took the fourth spot with a 41, and McGeough followed in a tie for fifth with a 42. Keehner finished the night with a score of 46 and placed eighth, while Wille tied for ninth with a 48.

The Bulldogs now sit at 12-4 overall. They will golf at New Hampton on April 18, in a meet rescheduled from April 4, then will play at Clayton Ridge on April 20 and at Tri City against South Winn on April 21.
