Relays again proved to be the top events for the MFL MarMac girls track and field team in meets last week in Waukon and Monona.

The Bulldogs turned in a fifth-place performance in the 4x100 at the April 11 Waukon Early Bird, then earned a pair of sixth-place finishes in the 4x200 and 4x400.

Individually, Emma Koether secured eighth in the 800 meter run, and Bayleigh Wood was ninth in the 400.

Maria Stavroplus ran to 15th in the 200 and 16th in the 100, while Melanie Ruff placed 12th in the 100 and Audrey Ruff was 17th in the 200.

Stavroplus also competed in the high jump, turning in a height of 4-02 for eighth place. Amelya Weigand and Ariana Fish participated in the long jump, placing a respective 11th and 15th with jumps of 12-01.25 and 10-03.5.

At the April 13 MFL MarMac Co-Ed meet, Stavroplus improved her high jump height to 4-04, which was good for fifth place. It was also the top individual finish of the day for the Bulldogs.
