Arthur K. Adney, 80, New Glarus Home in New Glarus, WI, a Vietnam Veteran formerly of Prairie Du Chien WI, died Sunday January 14, 2024 at VA Hospital in Madison Wisconsin from complications of long illness.

He was born on July 31, 1943 to Walter and Lorain (Sawvell) Adney in St. Danadus, IA. He entered the service on Dec. 2, 1966 until his discharge Dec. 1, 1969 serving in Vietnam. 

Surviving Arthur are two daughters April (Adney) Umber and Andrea (Adney) Woods, both from Cedar Rapids, IA. One son Alan Adney of Anamosa, IA, three brothers and three sisters; Arlene (Willie) Nagel of Dodge Center, Minnesota, Raymond (Elizabeth) of Coon Rapids, MN, Walton (Sharon) of Cape Girardeau, MO, Paul (Mae) of Fennimore, Wisconsin, Pearl (Adney) Martin of Waukon, IA, and Rose Mary (Adney) Coman of LaCrosse, WI. One granddaughter and three grandsons,one great-grandson Sebastian, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Lorain; one brother Kenneth, brother in-law-Ralph Martin.

There are no services planned, burial will be in Spooner, WI, at the Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
