Patricia “Pat” Ann Van Natta, age 76 of Prairie du Chien, went Home to her Savior on January 29, 2024 at the Gunderson Lutheran Hospital of LaCrosse. She had suffered a severe brain bleed on Thursday, the 25th at her home. Pat was born October 17, 1947, the first of eight children the daughter of Bernard and Annabel Barr. Pat graduated from Potosi High School in 1966. She married her Saddle Club Sweetheart, Vernon Van Natta of Lancaster. Pat and Vernon went to Ozark, Arkansas to attend Bible College, while there they were blessed with two daughters, Pamela and Paula. They moved back to Grant County area where they were again blessed with a third daughter Mary and one and only favorite son, Matthew. The Van Natta Family moved to Prairie du Chien in 1976. Pat worked several years at the Prairie du Chien Nursing home. When Vernon started Big V’s Cleaning service she became his righthand! She also worked several years with Homeward Bound and Lori Knapp Homes. She was a member of Bible Baptist church and so loved her church family. 

Surviving are her four children; Pam (David) Moore of Newcaster, OK; Paula Van Natta of Prairie du Chien, WI; Mary Sparks (Chuck Mercer)of Priarie du Chien, WI; Matthew (Tara) Van Natta; sisters, Marie (John) McGuire of Hahira, GA; Carol (Raymond) Leigh of Mt. Horeb, WI; Connie (Shayne) Chapman of Soldiers Grove, WI;  brothers, Dwayne “Butch” Barr of Darlington, WI; David (Arlene) Barr of Soldiers Grove, WI; Terry Barr of Viroqua, WI; Tim (Leanne) Barr of Soldiers Grove, WI; nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren; Brother in law, Ron (Diane) Van Natta of Lancaster, WI; sister in law, Kathy Wall of Lancaster, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Van Natta; both her parents Bernard and Annabel Barr; in laws, Eugene and Mildred Van Natta; brother in laws, Larry Van Natta and Clem Wall JR.

A viewing will be held at Bible Baptist Church at 1110 N Marquette Road of Prairie du Chien from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5 and funeral on Feb. 6 at 10:30 a.m. also at Bible Baptist Church with  Thornburg Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien  will be assisting the family.
