Hoyheim named County Officer of the Year

Officer Kari Hoyheim of the Guttenberg Police Department has been named 2023 Officer of the Year by the Clayton County Law Enforcement Association.

She was chosen for the honor at the Jan. 31 meeting of the Association. Four nominations were presented at the meeting, one of which was for Officer Hoyheim. She was then chosen for the honor by the board of the CCLEA. The Association is made up of local law enforcement members. 

The annual award is given to officers who go above and beyond the call of duty and show exemplary performance. 

Officer Hoyheim has been a member of the Guttenberg Police Department for nearly 20 years, and she is a current member of the Clayton County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART).
