Guttenberg will celebrate its 33rd annual GermanFest on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 20-21, with music, food, and family activities. This year’s musical lineup includes six popular bands, along with  food, beverages and a wide variety of family fun activities.  See details inside.

On the same weekend, the 43rd annual Plagman Barn Show Days will be held Sept. 20, 21, and 22, sponsored by the Northeast Iowa Farm Antique Association. The barn is located west of Guttenberg and the event will feature demonstrations of early farm and home life, along with food and entertainment. See page 3.

Friday, Sept. 20, is also the date of the Clayton Ridge High School Homecoming celebration, with an afternoon parade and the crowning of royalty at the football game that evening.
