November 23, 1943

Leo was born in Evanston, Ill., to Leo and Mercedes Lang on the 23rd day of November 1943. He was the oldest of nine children growing up on the family farm in Wauzeka. 

After high school, Leo moved to Janesville to work at the General Motors plant. 

Leo married Georgia Jeane Moen on Feb. 27, 1965.  Their love affair lasted nearly 60 years, a bond that most would envy. 

Leo and Georgia have two daughters: Tina Lang of California and Melody Caires of Spokane, Wash.  

The family moved from Wisconsin to Spokane in 1975.  

Leo pursued a career in Sales which lasted 30 years. Leo’s gift of connecting with people made him respected in his industry.

Leo’s love for his family made him a wonderful Patriarch for his wife, two daughters, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  Leo maintained a strong connection with his siblings in the Midwest. Leo loved to hunt, fish, golf, visit friends and family, go to Starbucks, spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, travel, read and dedicated his life to always being present for his wife. 

Leo loved being an avid lifelong Packer fan. He also enjoyed watching the Gonzaga basketball team. 

Preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Rebecca and brother Terry. 

Leo is survived by his wife Georgia; daughters Tina and Melody; grandchildren Nicole, Arianna, Patrick, Seth, Angelique, Leo, Riona. As well as the eight great-grandchildren:  Sam, Mason, Katie, Bodhi, Alice, Millie Ray, Elowen & Renesmee; two brothers, Gerry and Terry; and five sisters: Jane, Pat, Suzette, Mary and Lisa. Leo’s legacy will carry through to many generations. 

He loved his wife beyond words and always said she was the best thing that ever happened to him.We remember this man as a true gentleman who overlooked faults and lived with kindness. He made everyone feel accepted and respected. Heaven has gained a special angel.
