October 13, 1947–February 20, 2025
Robert R. Linzenmeyer Jr., age 77 of Eastman, passed away following a brief illness on Thursday Feb. 20, 2025, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse.
He was born on Oct. 13, 1947, to Robert and Dorothy (Tippery) Linzenmeyer.
Robert graduated from Prairie du Chien High School with the class of 1966 before going to serve in the U.S. Army.
After his service, he moved to Milwaukee and obtained a bachelor’s degree in social work. He worked for Mary Queen of Martyrs and Blessed Savior in Milwaukee for many years.
Robert married Judy Jellison in 1973. She preceded him in death in 2011.
Robert lived a full life of love and service to his country. He loved playing music and singing as well as spending time on his farm near Richland Center.
Robert later married Sharon Fisher in 2015 and together they owned and operated Bob and Sharon’s Main Street Bar & Grill in Eastman.
He is survived by his wife Sharon; step-children Debra (Kim) Cavaliano, of Milwaukee; Bob (Karen) Fisher, of Seneca; Becky (Mark) Martins, of Waukon, Iowa; Brenda (Jason) Mims, of Prairie du Chien; and Bruce and Ben Fisher of Boscobel; siblings Bill (June) Linzenmeyer of Mayville, and Sue (Dave) Pasewald of Horicon; several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Eastman, with Fr. Chinnappan Pelavendran officiating, with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery in Prairie du Chien.
Friends may call at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and also at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
