Guttenberg Care Center recently announced new leadership to the team in the role of administrator.
Newly-appointed Provisional Administrator Hayley Kann brings home-town experience to an already accomplished line up at Guttenberg Care Center.
In Kann’s role as Administrator, she will oversee the day-to-day operations, staffing, and nursing. “Having grown up just a few miles outside of Guttenberg, this opportunity feels like a homecoming, and I’m deeply committed to serving our residents and their families with care, compassion, and excellence," Kann said.
Kann grew up on a farm with two older brothers and a younger sister. The Clayton Ridge graduate was actively involved in basketball, cross country, 4-H, FFA, National Honor Society, and served as class president.
Two weeks after graduating in 2019, Kann left for Fort Sill, Okla., to complete Army basic training. From there, she continued to Fort Sam Houston, where she earned her EMT license and combat medic skills. "I spent four years at Fort Carson, Colo., working alongside medical providers to ensure the safety and health of our nation’s soldiers," she noted. Kann is currently serving in the Army Reserves as a medic with the engineers unit based in Dubuque.
She currently holds a provisional license with the state of Iowa and is in the process of completing the required courses and tests to obtain her full administrator license.
“I am passionate about creating an environment where residents feel valued and supported, staff are empowered to succeed, and families feel confident in the care their loved ones receive," Kann assured. "I look forward to getting to know each of you and welcome any feedback or ideas you may have to enhance our services. Together, we can ensure Guttenberg Care Center continues to be a place of comfort, safety, and community."
