November 18, 1938 - April 5, 2025
Claudia Ann Standorf, age 86, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at UW Hospital and Clinics. She was born on Nov. 18, 1938, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Claude and Helen (Mezera) Standorf.
She began her education at Wingra Grade School, transferred to Our Lady Queen of Peace, and graduated from Edgewood High School. Claudia obtained her B.S. in Food and Nutrition from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her M.S. in Nutrition from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She completed her Dietetic Internship at Milwaukee County General Hospital in Milwaukee, Wis.
Claudia worked for St. Joseph’s Hospital and returned to work at Milwaukee County General in various positions. The one she enjoyed the most was her five years as education director.
Claudia enjoyed being with family and friends. Outside of work, she enjoyed golfing and being with her cats.
Many cousins survive Claudia. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 401 S. Owen Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 24. A luncheon will be held following the service at church. Burial will be held at a later date at Gays Mills Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Our Lady of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dane County Humane Society, or a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
