Don Bosco ends Central softball season

The Central softball team wrapped up its season on July 7, with a 10-0 loss to Don Bosco in the Class 1A - Region 5 playoff opener.

 

Dons pitcher Adalyn Steenblock was tough on the Warriors, surrendering just a walk to Tenley Meyer and striking out eight batters over four innings. 

 

Don Bosco’s offense, meanwhile, collected 11 hits and four walks and reached once on a hit batter and twice due to errors. They put up multiple runs in each inning, including three in the first, two in both the second and third and three again in the fourth inning.

 

The Warriors finished the season 1-23 overall and 1-15 in the Upper Iowa Conference. Seniors Reese Berns and Savannah Orr were both all-conference honorable mention selections. More information on those honors will be included in the next edition.
