The Central girls basketball team closed out the 2025 portion of its schedule last week with losses to East Buchanan and Kee.
The Buccaneers defeated the Warriors 51-23 in a Dec. 22 match-up. The following night, the Hawks built an early lead and never looked back in a 48-32 victory over Central.
The Warriors enter winter break 5-5 overall and 3-3 in Upper Iowa Conference play. They are currently third in the UIC’s small school division, trailing Turkey Valley and Kee.
Central will return to action next week, starting at Crestwood on Monday, Jan. 5. The team will host Edgewood-Colesburg on Thursday, Jan. 8, then finish out the three-game stretch at New Hampton on Friday, Jan. 9.
