Elizabeth P. “Betty” Kregel

Elizabeth Parr “Betty” Kregel, 100, of Garnavillo went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, at Tower Living Center.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Gospel Hall in Garnavillo. Visitation was before services at the hall.

Burial was in the Garnavillo City Cemetery.

Ronald A. Miller Sr.

Ronald Allen Miller Sr., 77, of Colesburg passed away on Oct. 17, 2023, at VA Hospital in Iowa City, surrounded by family.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring.

Ron was born to Delbert and Lorraine Miller in Colesburg on Oct. 2, 1946. He graduated from Ed-Co High School in 1964. He served in the Army from 1965-1967.

Bret Arthur Moon was born Jan. 22, 1968, at Central Community Hospital, Elkader to Terry and Anita (Schaub) Moon. He was baptized at Peace United Church of Christ, Elkader on Feb. 18, 1968. His sponsors were Dianne Sudol and Harry Moon. On March 20, 1983, he was confirmed at Peace Church.

Peter Bellings, a beloved husband, brother, and friend, departed this world on Oct. 6, 2023, at the age of 70, at Mercy One Medical Center in Dubuque. 

Visitation was Wednesday, Oct. 11, at the Egelhof, Siegert, and Casper Funeral Home and Crematory, Dubuque. A memorial service followed, conducted by Rev. Andy Upah.

Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporations (NEICAC) Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides financial assistance to qualifying homeowners and renters with limited resources for home heating costs and energy crisis situations.

"We serve Allamakee, Bremer, Chickasaw, Clayton, Fayette, Howard, and Winneshiek counties," noted Karli Schmelzer, CCAP Operation and Development Director NEICAC.
