Visitation was Friday, Nov. 17, at the Reiff Funeral Home in Dyersville.

Elaine Inez Schroeder, 88, of Guttenberg, passed from this world to her heavenly home on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, at the Guttenberg Care Center.

Funeral services were Friday, Nov. 17, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Guttenberg, conducted by Rev. Andrew Preus. Visitation was before services at the church.

Interment was at the Guttenberg City Cemetery.

Interment was in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Manly on Tuesday, Nov. 14.

Visitation was Sunday, Nov. 12, at Behr Funeral Home, Dubuque.

Funeral services were Monday, Nov, 13, at Holy Spirit Parish, Sacred Heart Church, Dubuque, conducted by Rev. Andrew Awotwe-Mensah.

Memorial services were Saturday, Nov. 11, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guttenberg.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 7, at St. John Congregational Church in Garber, conducted by Rev. Linda Hauschild.

Volunteers host meals for the Wave of the Future

The Wave of the Future continues to roll along as fundraising efforts spread from the campaign cabinet to community members. Guttenberg resident Nancy Nuehring was so moved by Amy Clefisch and Rose Eglseder’s gift in memory of the late Dustin Eglseder that she decided to share her own talent in the kitchen to contribute to the project.

Backwater fans should mark their calendars for a monumental event being planned for Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at the Electric Park Ballroom in Waterloo. On that date, the band with members Bruce Bryant, Steve Dikkers, Ed Dvorak, Scott Fischer and Chris Sauke will be inducted into the Midwest All Music Association's Hall of Fame.
