Telethon celebrates 50 years

(Left) Production employee with Mediacom lent their expertise to bring the Eagles telethon to the airwaves for its 50th year. Dan Moris interviewed students, musicians and other guests throughout the evening, which ran from 5-11 p.m. on Jan. 25.

Prairie du Chien’s Ice Fisheree has outlasted its share of challenges over its 75-year history, but in 1986, the event transpired without incident. However, the health of Gremore Lake, the Fisheree’s long-time home, became a concern in the mid-1980s.
