Bulldogs close out regular season

Miranda Lang sends a pass to a teammate in the Bulldogs’ 69-54 win against Decorah on Feb. 11. The junior had three assists in the game, along with 10 points.

MFL MarMac players drained 12 of 23 three-point attempts versus Decorah. Lakota Morrissey hit three shots from behind the arc, contributing to her 11-point total.

Randy A. Morarend

Randy Alan Morarend, 59, of Edgewood, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, at his home. He was born on May 27, 1961, at the Guttenberg Hospital, completing the family of Delois and Lois (White) Morarend. Randy was a graduate of Central High School in Elkader. Shortly after graduating, Randy served honorably in the United States Army.

Joseph A. Vlazny

Joseph Anthony Vlazny, 63, died suddenly on Feb. 5, 2021, on the family farm in rural Farmersburg. He was born Aug. 3, 1957, in Fairbank. He attended St. Patrick's Catholic School and graduated from MFL High School in 1975. He was raised Catholic and was an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, where, as a young boy, he served as an altar boy and played the organ.

Robert G. 'Bob' Davies

Robert Griff (Bob) Davies, 69, of McGregor, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2021, at his home in McGregor. He was born Oct. 27, 1951, in Iowa City, to Towyn and Pauline (Hanft) Davies. He graduated from Washington High School and received his B.A. from the University of Northern Iowa. He married Joann Burns on April 17, 2001.

After 130 years, Glesnes are saying goodbye to Coast to Coast
