Once the annexation is acknowledged there, the county recorder, as well as local utilities and the Iowa DOT and DNR, will be notified of the change. He said the final notification will go to the Iowa State Treasurer’s office, a move that will trigger additional road use tax funds going to the community due to a slight increase in population.
