June “Junebug” Violet Freilinger, 93, of Monona, died Friday, June 16, 2023, at Ossian Senior Hospice, Ossian.

Visitation was Wednesday, June 21, at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Monona, and before services at the church

Funeral services were Thursday, June 22, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Monona, conducted by Rev. Martin Coolidge.

Autumn was born on Jan. 21, 1972, in Independence. She, her parents (Skip and Marcia Hall), and her brother (Michael Horn) would remain in Independence until 1979. The family then relocated to Guttenberg, where they lived on “the Island.”

Autumn graduated from Guttenberg High School in 1990. She went on to attend Hamilton Business College in Cedar Rapids, where she received a degree in Business Administration. Autumn then returned to Guttenberg where she worked mainly in the food industry. She was married to Josh Usher in 1995 until 2005. They had one daughter (Bailee Usher) in 1996.

Gary Frederick Torrey, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Heritage Specialty Care.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, prior to the service.

Funeral services will follow the visitation at the church, conducted by Dr. Timothy Chavers.

Visitation was Saturday, June 17, at Morris Funeral Home in Guttenberg.

Inurnment was at Bethel Cemetery in Colesburg with military honors accorded by the Guttenberg Legion Post #0373 and Amvets Post 15.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church, Elm Grove, Wis. from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.

Private family burial to take place at St. Joseph Cemetery in Garnavillo.

Funeral services were Tuesday, May 30, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Guttenberg, conducted by Pastor Michael Ashman.

Funeral services were May 31, at the Colesburg Methodist Church in Colesburg, conducted by Pastor Kathy Rempe.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, from 4-7 p.m. at Morris Funeral Home in Guttenberg, and from 9-9:45 a.m. before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 26, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Guttenberg, conducted by Rev. Marvin Bries.
