Warriors show progress, competitiveness in UIC quad

Last week, the Central volleyball team participated in its first-ever conference quad, a new addition to the schedule with the recent conference expansion and the creation of big- and small-school divisions. In the quad, Central faced off against MFL MarMac and South Winn, falling in two sets to both teams but showing progress and competitiveness throughout the night.

The Central varsity volleyball team kicked off Upper Iowa Conference play at home on Sept. 11, with a strong performance, defeating West Central in straight sets with scores of 25-14, 25-16 and 25-10.

The MFL MarMac girls cross country team won its second straight meet on Sept. 9, topping the leaderboard at the Clayton Ridge race with a score of 30, 11 points ahead of Maquoketa Valley.
