Schellhorn the conference champ, four other Bulldogs medal at UIC meet

Bulldog junior Clare Grau ran a season best 21:49.6 to place seventh in the UIC meet.

Senior Will Koether and sophomore Tucker Ruff medaled with respective 11th and 12th place finishes.

Freshman Cora Keehner medaled with a 12th-place time of 22:09.9.

Junior Sawyer Keehner placed 16th, and was one of four Bulldog boys to finish within the top 20.

Freshman Mariah Moser came in 30th at the UIC meet.

Logan Ross relied on a time of 22:49.7 to place 38th.

Senior Cadence Weber rounded out the Bulldog girls runners with a 28:24.2 finish, which was good for 40th.

61-0 win over Beckman boosts Bulldogs’ confidence heading into postseason

Cole Allert and Brock Hackett were part of the MFL MarMac defense that held the Blazers to just 10 yards of total offense, including negative rushing yards.

Karter Decker accounted for 135 yards of total offense, including a game-opening 62-yard touchdown reception and scoring runs of 50 and 12 yards.

Tight end Kade McElwaine hauled in a 65-yard touchdown. He also led the team in tackles.

Wyatt Powell brings down a Blazer runner in Friday's dominant victory.

Fullback Carver Blietz-Bentien ran for 107 yards on five carries, with two touchdowns—one for 35 yards and the other 60.

Brandon Christofferson caught a 59-yard touchdown pass in the Bulldog win.

Bulldogs cap regular season with wins

Senior Brooke Gillitzer smashed 10 kills in each of MFL MarMac’s wins last week.

Hannah Bogdonovich accounted for two of MFL MarMac’s three blocks in the win over Kee.

Kadence Pape picks up one of her nine digs versus the Hawks.

Makayla Morrissey earned all 18 assists against Kee.

Hailee Corlett went a perfect 19-19 serving in the win over the Hawks. That included five aces.

MFL MarMac clinches district title with win over Cascade

MFL MarMac’s physical rushing attack wore down Cascade in Friday’s 33-20 district title-clinching win. Fullback Carver Blietz-Bentien led the team with 142 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. He also caught two passes for 40 yards and a TD.

The Bulldog defense held Cascade’s potent offense to just 13 points for most of the game, only allowing a third touchdown late in the fourth quarter. Here, Bryce Radloff (left), Kade McElwaine and Austin Schlee converge to tackle a Cougar runner.

Quarterback Zach Driscoll completed 8 of 12 passes for 128 yards. He had one touchdown—and scored another himself—in addition to throwing a pick.
