STATE TRACK AND FIELD: Second place medal in 4x400 highlights Central’s experience

The Warriors’ sprint medley relay team of Tori Sylvester, Grace Kuehl, Jaydin Dettman and Delaney Scherf finished 20th at state.

Tori Sylvester, Grace Kuehl, Kaitlyn Wiley and Hannah Asche ran to 11th in the 4x200 relay.

Delaney Scherf placed 24th in the 800 meter run. It was her second time competing in an individual event at state.

Hannah Asche turned in a 17th place time in the 200. She was just the fourth runner in Central history to qualify in the event.

MFL MarMac boys earn first conference golf title, move on to district meet

Quinn McGeough, who came in fourth, was one of six Bulldogs to place within the top 15 at the UIC boys golf meet. The effort helped MFL MarMac win the team title.

Joe Grau shot his way to eighth at the conference meet.

Jonah Wille's seventh place finish contributed to MFL MarMac's historic UIC title.

The MFL MarMac boys golf team is the Upper Iowa Conference champion for the first time in school history. The Bulldogs battled brutally windy conditions at the May 9 meet at Tri City Golf Course in Luana to earn a combined score of 353—well ahead of the 387 from second-place North Fayette Valley.

MFL MarMac’s Miranda Lang is the Upper Iowa Conference golf champion. The senior shot a +101 after 18 holes at the May 10 conference meet at South Winn Golf and Country Club.

Central won the 4x400 relay thanks to Jaydin Dettman, Delaney Scherf, Kaitlyn Wiley and Hannah Asche.

Record breaking UIC meet for McShane

Bulldog freshman Jacob Schellhorn posted a personal best time of 4:56.62 in the 1600 meter run, to place second.

Rylee Kugel and his Bulldog teammates raced to fourth in the 440 shuttle hurdle relay.

Wyatt Powell placed third in the 100 meter dash and also ran well in the 200, where he was sixth.

Tucker Ruff crossed the finish line eighth in the 800 meter run.

Aiden Schoulte’s distance of 40 feet, 4 inches placed him sixth in the shot put.

Izayah Streicher was a key member of MFL MarMac's 4x200 and 4x200 relays that placed third at conference. He was also part of the eighth place 4x400.
