Bulldog wrestlers already 7-0 in duals

Freshman Quinn McGeough started his wrestling season on a high note, pinning his opponent in the Dec. 2 dual with De Soto.

Freshman Zach Driscoll had a successful first week of varsity basketball, scoring 33 points in the season opener against Waukon. He hit five of six three pointers in the game, and followed that up with a 3-7 effort from behind the arc versus Turkey Valley.

Mary Jo Wilke

Mary JoAnn (Iverson) Wilke, of Monona, passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 24, 2021, at the age of 88. Mary Jo was born on Oct. 19, 1933, in Calmar, to Justin Clarence (JC) and Ina (Weselmann) Iverson. She was the second oldest of six children and attended Calmar High School. Mary Jo was the valedictorian of her high school class in 1951 and furthered her education at Luther College in Decorah, following in the footsteps of many family members before her. While at Luther, she earned her B.A.

Lorraine Henry Taake, age 79, of Clayton Center, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Lorraine was born on Jan. 31, 1942, to Leroy and Helen (Kregel) Taake.

Thomas J. Moses

Thomas Joseph Moses, 72, of Monona, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, Wis. Thomas was born Sept. 15, 1949, to William Jr. and Isabel (Ferguson) Moses in McGregor. He graduated from MFL High School in 1968.

Ilo May Moser, 101, passed away on Nov. 30, 2021, in her home in Edgewood, after a short illness. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11, at St. John’s Church in Garber.
